FAQ
We collect your personal data because you use our services, or because you have shared that data with us. This includes the following data:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- E-mail address
- IP address
- Data about your activities on the Jewel website
- Internet browser and device type
We use data to tailor our marketing activities to our target group. Those activities are:
- Sending newsletters
- Sending emails after requesting one of our content offers
- Telephone contact to provide information about our services
- Mailing to notify you of changes to our services
Not marketing related:
- We also collect personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, for example for our tax return
We work with marketing automation, which means that many of our emails are sent automatically. However, we do not make decisions based on automated messages that have (significant) consequences for the recipient. Important matters are always handled at Jewel by real people, not by computer programs.
We only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary to perform our services or because this is required by law.
At Jewel we take your privacy seriously. We therefore do everything we can to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted publication or changes to your personal data. Do you feel that your data is not properly secured, or are there indications of misuse? Mail to info@jewelsoftware.com.
Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser during your first visit to our website. We use three types: functional, analytical and tracking cookies. The functional cookies are necessary for the website to run as it should. They also remember your preferred settings. We use the analytical cookies to analyze the activities of visitors on our website, so that we can improve our website. We use the tracking cookies to analyze your surfing behavior. This allows us to show you personalized information and advertisements.
During your first visit to our website, we asked for your permission to place cookies. If you change your mind later, you can always unsubscribe. You can also delete all information that we have previously stored about you via the settings of your browser.
In addition, on our websites you will find buttons with which you can share our web pages on social media, for example on LinkedIn and Twitter. These buttons can also place cookies. Because these buttons work with code that comes from the social media channels themselves, we have no influence on this. For more information about these cookies and the information they collect from you, we refer you to the privacy statements and terms and conditions of the relevant social media companies.
We never keep your personal data longer than necessary. This means that we delete your data as soon as it is clear that our services are no longer relevant to you or your company. There is one exception to this rule: we will keep some data for longer if this is required by law.
If you're tired of us (it can happen to the best of us!) you have the right to be forgotten by us. You can let us know by sending an email to info@jewelsoftware.com, and we will ensure that all information we have about you is permanently removed. This sounds more dramatic than it is, because you can always sign up for our communications again.
